here's a log of books & other literature i really like! i tend to have a really difficult time making my way through text that lays it on thick with the language, and i haven't been reading as much since middle school since i'm so damn busy all the time, so a lot of published works i enjoy are meant for younger teens. whatever! when i have the time i'm going to try and find books i enjoy. i'm picky.

GRAPHIC NOVELS (comic books)
one of my FAVOURITE artistic mediums has got to be comic books. i'm very, very fond of them, so much so that i have a designated shelf for the comic books i own! here's some of my very favourites-- a filled in star indicates that i currently have a physical copy

a group of friends begin running an underground business selling bootleg anime CDs to buy cool jackets. easily my favourite book.
★ Space Boy (Series) ★
amy moves to earth from a deep space mining colony, reawakening 30 years in the future and quickly immersing herself in earth's best-kept secret.

tiến helps his mother learn english through fairytales, and fairytales help tiến and his mother better know each other.

before the modern internet, there was BBS, connecting computer geeks locally and forging friendships.
☆ The Essential Dykes To Watch Out For ☆
a collection of alison bechdel's dykes to watch out for strips. dtwof follows the lives & politics of a group of mostly queer friends. it's great.
★ Ghosts ★
cat's family moves for her younger sister maya's health to bahía de la luna, a cold, quiet town in norcal, rumoured to be haunted.
☆ Scott Pilgrim (Series) ☆
in order to date the literal girl of his dreams, scott pilgrim must defeat her seven evil exes (as well as the beast that is adulthood, but that's subtext.)

now with added lack of animation, lack of interactivity, +50 weight, and authors commentary!
